Samsung starts rolling out Android 6.0.1 to the Galaxy A5 (2016) in Russia



After releasing the Marshmallow update for the Galaxy A7 in Russia and the Galaxy Tab S2 in the US, Samsung has started rolling out Android Marshmallow update for the Galaxy A5 (2016) in Russia.
The update with firmware number A510FXXU2BPF9 brings new features such as Android’s Doze mode, Google Now on Tap, granular app permissions, and more. If you own the Galaxy A5 (2016) in Russia, you can manually check for the update from the following menu: Settings > About Device > Software Update > Update Now.
The Galaxy A5 (2016) was released with Android 5.1.1 out of the box. If you can’t wait for the update to hit your device, you can download it from our firmware section and update your Galaxy A5 (2016) manually.
